Description

This box set of Jesus Christ Superstar is a 1970 first run edition (DXSA-7206) featuring Ian Gillan of Deep Purple and Yvonne Elliman. It includes the 28-page libretto. The 2 lps and libretto are the same as the normal first edition of this release.
What makes this unique is the inclusion of a 3rd 12” LP that contains an interview with Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber. This LP was never commercially available. Also included is a 26-page “cue sheet” meant to provide a disc jockey the ability to “interview” these two men and creat a live-sounding program. The cue sheet gives prompts for the intro and outro of each recorded segment.
