Welcome to my listings. To all overseas bidders: Please read before bidding. I will not falsify any information when sending custom declarations. I will indicate the true value of any item that has been sold. It is the responsibility of the buyer to pay the correct custom duty on any winning item.
No exceptions will be made. All overseas bidders please message me first on postal costs to your country before bidding so that you know exactly what your costs are going to be. All items are packed and dispatched in heavy duty LP mailers with cardboard reinforcements. I use heavy duty packaging tape. I always separate the LP from the sleeve and any inner sleeves that are part of the LP. This stops any damage to the item while in transit.
LED ZEPPELIN Led Zeppelin Rare and becoming increasingly harder to find genuine Original early 70s UK 4½ issue of the classic debut 1969 9-track LP on the green & orange label, fully laminated picture sleeve with orange lettering. The first three pressings are on the plum & red label. The fourth is the green & orange label found here, with Superhype & Jewel Music credit. "Fourths" are known to have the transitional matrix of '5 8 8 1 7 1' from the earlier batch, but that is absent on the side one run-out here. This is a transitional copy that sits somewhere in between the fourth & fifth issues. The matrices are machine stamped A1/B4 although the No: 4 digit is missing & the record weighs a nice 140g (the fifth pressing drops to around 123g!). K40031
PLAY GRADED: VISUALLY GRADED
Equipment used to test this LP was my Townsend Rock II turntable positioned on a Seismic Vibration Isolation Platform, with a Linn Ittok modified arm and Audio Technica VM95ML Shibata modified cartridge feeding through a Trilogy 906 phono stage positioned on a Seismic Sink. Amplification is a Lavardin IS amp positioned on a Seismic Vibration Isolation Platform. Speakers are Impluse H6's positioned on Seismic Isolation Bars.
Normal surface noise was heard to the run in on both sides. There was minimal light surface noise while all tracks played tracks. All tracks played with no major defects. There were no loud pops, no mis-tracking or jumps. There was no sticking to any of the tracks. The music remained solid with no distortion.
Overall this LP has many more years of playing and if marking out of 10 easily is a 7.5/10. Many modern recordings have more surface noise than this 54 year old LP.
I cannot guarantee exactly how this LP will sound on your turntable/system - Cartridge and stylus profile, tracking weight, Arm VTA, arm type all go to make a difference to the sound and performance of any LP/single being played.
THE COVER: The laminated cover shows no wear to the top or bottom edges. The spine shows no wear with just very light minimal creasing, the spines text is still visible and readable. The lamination has bubbled up from the surface along the spine but remains intact with no splitting. All corners have just light wear with no major age related rounding ( except the top right hand corner which has card visible). The opening edge remains crisp with no fethering. The covers surface shows very light minimal storage scuffing and very light creasing so I have graded the cover in VERY GOOD+ condition.
THE BACK COVER: The back cover reflects the front so I have graded the back cover again in VERY GOOD+ condition.
THE INNER SLEEVE: Plain white inner.
THE VINYL: Both sides of this double LP still retains all of their original lustre and sheen with no dulling and in daylight look awesome. Placed under a 100w bulb there are no deep scratches to any side of this LP. There are hairline marks and minor surface scuffs. I have graded this LP in VERY GOOD+ condition.
Side 1 in VERY GOOD+ condition. Side 2 in VERY GOOD+ condition.

THE LABELS: The labels are in EXCELLENT condition and showing very light minimal spindle marks around the central spindle hole.
