Here is a copy of the RARE Midnighters LP on FEDERAL 541 - Their Greatest Hits. This is a guaranteed original pressing from 1957. This is the 12-inch version of the record. This particular copy would serve as a good filler until one in better condition comes along. The top seam and spine of the cover are completely split. The bottom seam is still intact. The record label on side 1 does show 2 small areas of light wear. The record play grades about G+ overall. The first couple of songs on each side play a bit rougher than the songs closer to the spindle hole. The songs closer to the spindle hole play closer to VG-. There are A LOT of moderate to heavy scratches in the vinyl. However, the record does play through with only a very few, very sporadic areas where the needle jumped a revolution while playing. These needle jumps went away on my player when I used a lighter tonearm. While the record is rough, it is still quite enjoyable and RARE.  Please see my other auctions.

Grading Scale:

NM = A near perfect record in every way. Record shows no obvious signs of wear.

VG++ = Somewhere between VG+ and Near Mint.

VG+ = Record has been played, but previous owner took good care of it. Record will have light scuffs or light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. VERY little to no background/surface noise will be heard while the record is playing.

VG = Light to moderate Background/surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song's fade and intro. This background noise will not overpower the music otherwise, however. Groove wear and light scratches (deep enough to affect sound) will be noticeable. Still a nice record.

VG- = Somewhere between VG and G+.

G/G+ = Significant surface noise upon playing. Scratches and visible groove wear will be evident. Record will play through without skipping or sticking however.

Fair/Poor = I do not ever sell records at this grade, but they would be cracked, severly warped, with skips or sticks, or have obvious signs of HEAVY play. Basically it will serve better as a coaster than a record.
