Description
Up for grabs is one of the holy grails of Australian 60's rock....an original first pressing of the self titled debut from the legendary Master's Apprentices. Featuring the recently passed Jim Keays on vocals (RIP). Contains such classics as Buried and Dead, Theme For a Social Climber, and my favourite Oz 60's garage song, the killer "Undecided."
This is the very hard to find first pressing on the Astor label, and it's in fantastic condition! When this rare lp does show up, its usually pretty worn, but this is a fantastic copy....there wouldn't be too many better ones out there I'd say.
I would rate the cover at (VG+). It has slight ring and shelf wear, and minor wear to the top and opening edges. The Astor label on the front has a few faint marks on it, and there's a tiny 1cm tear on the back opening edge (see Pic). All of the graphics and writing are clean and sharp. A very presentable cover with no major issues!
Visually, the vinyl is (Ex). Retains full gloss, but has a couple of what look like very faint needle marks on both sides, and a couple of other barely noticable marks that hardly warrant a mention. Sounds superb!!!!!
The labels are (Ex-). They have a few small spindle marks on each side, but are otherwise unmarked.
This is a rare oppurtunity to own a fantastic playing or archive copy of this very hard to find lp! I have set a high starting bid...but it does reflect the condition and rarity of the record, and my reluctance to sell it! There's no reserve....if you're the only bidder its yours!
Buyer can pickup from Rye, Vic, or will happily post Australia wide. Will be sandwiched in cardboard, bubble wrapped the placed in a durable carboard pizza box. Additional services (padded bag, registered, insured etc) available upon request....and are recommended with a record of this value/rarity!
