Description
Pete Brown & Piblokto! - Thousands On A Raft, Harvest SHVL782 1970. Extremely rare album on Harvest from Pete Brown, complete with the laminated gatefold cover, yet marked throughout. The first track is a lovely psych mod track with harmonious wailing guitar, which has a scuff sound on the lead in intro and a couple of light pops, the second track is a minimal piano number which crackles and pops at the start and on the interlude, but also 2 skips in the middle sadly. The third and final track of the a-side is an instrumental mod psych number into a nice fast beat psych track which clicks on and off. The b-side again starts with a scuff sound (which I believe is possibly a press fault) that continues into the great mod beat psych track that in turn goes into a funky beat folk sound with light crackle and pops at the fade in and out. The second number is again funky psych with wailing guitars and beat backing, with crackle and pops at the start with a few pops dotted about, and the final song on the album is a melancholy mod beat psych number which features a lovely psych guitar into organ towards the end. It has a light crackle at the start and a few pops dotted about, crackle on the quieter sections and playing fine on the more raucous sections, with 3/4 pops towards the end. Happy to combine postage at cost, usually at no extra expense in the UK.
