*****The RARE MONO issue offers completely different song mixes as well as a bold punch in the monaural sound production, much different from the stereo playback!
VERY RARE in mono - much rarer than the mono Sgt Pepper as by late 1967 of this first release companies were all but phasing monaural albums out of production, this is certainly the last mono Beatles and not all that many copies were produced ...safe to say it is one of the fewest number of mono Beatles albums...
This LP is a definite peak of the Fab Four's psychedelic experimental phase. The title track, "I Am the Walrus", "Strawberry Fields Forever", "Blue Jay Way" are all masterpieces of British psychedelia containing all kinds of studio experiments, sitars, effects, and strings arrangements and samplings that were one of a kind and extremely innovative in 1967. Additionally, "Fool On The Hill" and "Penny Lane" are amongst the most beautiful melodic ballads penned by McCartney. "Hello Goodbye" is a classic, and even the hippie mantra "All You Need Is Love" has a 'groove-in' feel. Otherwise, this album is excellent and was not originally released as LP album in England.

CONDITION: The thick(!) gatefold cover is still strong "EX" (excellent) no bends, no split seams, no writing anywhere) The color photo pages are not loose inside gatefold cover.
The vinyl is with high gloss on both sides, "VG++" having a few light hairline scuffs/marks, nothing disturbing, so expect it to play nice!
