Meet The Beatles
Capitol paste over cover
This is The Beatles original first Capitol records LP release titled Meet The Beatles released in January 1964. This is a rare paste over cover meaning that the front slick for Meet The Beatles was pasted over a random LP jacket at the plant to keep up with demand when the record took off & they ran out of jackets.I can not tell what LP was used but the slick could probably be peeled more to reveal,early slick with brown lettering,cover grades VG overall with NO splits,NO number next to RIAA on back nor mention of George Martin. Having owned literally dozens of this LP in past 30 years this is the first one I have seen. These could very well be harder to come by than Butcher cover's which seem to be very plentiful but that is only my opinion.
Now for the vinyl record itself this copy visually grades strong VG with few superficial scuffs,Play Graded VG+ sounded good,comes with original blue inner dust sleeve.
