Nathan Milstein -
MILSTEIN RECITAL -
Capitol FDS Label P-8259 -
VERY FINE!
Although Nathan Milstein as a violin virtuoso believed his playing improved the older he became, today finds music lovers and audiophiles clamoring for his early work.
This release, in fact, is one of his early FDS outings with Capitol and features truly fine playing of wonderful pieces for violin, among them Pergolesi's SONATA No. 12, Schumann's INTERMEZZO, Brahms' ALLEGRO, Suk's BURLESKA, Bloch's NIGUN, and PAGANINIANA as arranged by Milstein.
This indeed is the FDS version, pressed on a heavy platter, in a jacket without fault; FDS platter is near mint, just one small scuff on side 1 that should not pose a problem.
A prize in violin repertory.

Shipping and handling is $4 for a single LP shipped within the States; $1 for each additional LP. Internationally, $19.60 via airmail for the first LP, $4 each thereafter. (Canada is $13.50; $3 each additional.) Boxes over 4 lbs., add another $6, because First Class is no longer available at that weight, just Priority Mail. Note, too, boxed sets of LPs require more postage.
