Description
This auction is for a rare northern soul classic. The market is saturated with promo copies of this disc. I portend the non promo disc is rarer and therefore more valuable. Read lower for more pricing information. The disc has its original sleeve. It couldn’t be in better shape. It has very slight scuffs, so slight I graded it as near mint. These are scuffs one could polish out; it literally looks like it has never been played. I have more recently gotten into northern soul but I’ve lived in the Northeast corridor all my life in the big cities here and I’ve listened to vinyl since the mid nineties. It is very hard to find northern soul in this condition. Usually what I can find is either a great disc with no sleeve or of course something covered. This disc is clean listen to the YouTube link to see. I uploaded a video of the B side for you to get an understanding of Lee David’s musicality and the fidelity. The turntable is a Pioneer with an elliptical stylus. The auction is for the record and the sleeve. The B side is an old Curtis Mayfield song. The A side is an original, and Lee David wasn’t on the Amy-Mala Bell label for long. If you look at his discography on 45 cat you’ll see he was quickly signed by a major label.

I have found no evidence of another copy in such condition. There are five promo discs which are in great shape...it’s a cinch Lee David got signed, right? (These are on Discogs) also: there is only one “good” copy with a generic sleeve on discogs and it is listed for $18, if we go by the 75% rule, I’m listing this disc well below market value. I adjusted the shipping to the UK, per the suggestion of another Ebayer (thank you), I can really ship it any way you’d like. Happy Ebay-ing and cheers!
