PATRICIA BENNETT, JUDY CRAIG, BARBARA LEE, & SYLVIA PATTERSON, four young women from the Bronx, virtually define "girl group" for many collectors. And, unlike so many others of the genre, they made several albums to go along with their classic singles. However, both of their 1st 2 lps on Laurie are extremely difficult to find in any condition.This is the CHIFFONS second lp called: ONE FINE DAY. It is the most difficult of all their lps to find in near mint condition. And many collectors probably do not even know this lp was available as an original '63 Record club edition. The lp is beautiful u.s. pressing with black and gold LAURIE labels #T-90456. Mfd. by CAPITOL RECORDS INC, is also on label in small print. All numbers are stamped in the trail off, as well as a triangle with letters inside of it on both sides. Stamped numbers are T1-90456 P2, other side T2-90456 P1. There are 12 songs a few are: IT'S MY PARTY/THE LOCO MOTION/TONIGHT I MET AN ANGEL/ FOOLISH LITTLE GIRL/DID YOU EVER GO STEADY?/I'M GOING TO DRY MY EYES/etc. I feel fortunate to offer to collectors this outlandishly rare lp. And in delightful condition. Front and back of cover has a truly charming photo of the girls surrounded by a deep color and sharp graphics. Cover has NO seam or spine splits, ring wear, cut outs, bent or pushed in corners, just has very mild wear, and a tiny stain bottom back right corner. And on the back there is a slight faint browning around edges. The lp could not have been played more than one or two times and has a gloss shine that could light up a room,with NO dulling groove wear, scratches, sleeve stains, warps, etc. Labels have NO spindle marks, wear, writing, etc. Everything looks much better than in my photo. Colors are darker and all print is sharp, not out of focus. Only under very close inspection and bright light can you see just a few very light surface scuffs that do not affect play. I played excerpts, they sounded beautiful, with a very quiet background. Normally a seller would put a reserve on such a rarity in this condition, today I am offering this wonderful lp with NO reserve, a low minimum bid, and in the best CONDITION: COVER VG+++/LP NM-.
