INFORMATION IS VERY LIMITED ON THIS ALBUM , though we found this:
"Extremely rare private press amateur folk LP from what appears to be a group of 13 high school girls from Millburn, New Jersey, from somewhere between 1966 and 1968. The gatefold cover is set-up like a high school yearbook, complete with yearbook-style portraits of each girl with hip captions, and sponsored ads from local business and anonymous donors. Oddly, all of the businesses sponsoring this LP are either from in and around Millburn, NJ, or from Winnipeg, Manitoba... why that is is still a mystery."
The sole reference on the internet to this private pressing's existence is an appearance on Tony Coulter's playlist for his WFMU radio show in 2004.
On this album they cover mid-60's folk protest songs from Peter, Paul & Mary and Simon & Garfunkel, etc. There's one original, an amazing war protest song written by Millburnette (and Marsha Brady lookalike) Shelley Hull and Meg Lilley, called "War Mountain". It's a pretty incredible document of youth folk in the Vietnam War era... or as the liner notes say, "a strong generational message," with lyrics about the misery of war: "That mountain looks over/The dark fields of War/And she's seen our dead/Our tired and our poor/So look around you child/Look around and see/That mountain she's weary/From the tortures of War/So go, my little man/And help set her free."
