Description

   I am selling an extremely rare privately pressed LP record. Vinyl looks VG+ overall with a few light marks and a scratch which does not significantly affect play. Gatefold cover shows some shelf wear / rubbing, and some minor foxing along the left side. I was unable to find any info. about this album online or elsewhere. The inner gatefold states: "It is given us to give love". The back cover states: December 1972. There is no stated record label, title, or artist list, but the matrix runout on the vinyl is: Gold Side)  GOLD-R065-RE Red Side)   RED-RE-ROSS
  I've listed to this album twice all the way through and it is an interesting mix of original folk Christmas songs, along with a few popular songs by hit artists. "Scarborough Fair" sung by Simon & Garfunkel, "Your Song" sung by Elton John, "God Bless the Child" sung by Billie Holiday, "Let it Be" sung by The Beatles, and "Diamonds in the Rough" sung by John Prine all appear on this compilation. The rest of the songs are generally Christmas folk rock songs sung by talented artists. The origin of this LP is a bit of a head scratcher, but the music sounded very pleasant to me overall, and this would make a great holiday party album to play for any audience.
