This is for Saint Steven self titled LP on US stereo issue Probe Records 1969....The gatefold jacket has a split seam 3 inches along the top and minor storage wear, but overall in Very good condition..The vinyl has some minor light paper scratches, but plays perfectly, but I do rate visually, and this rated a very good to very good plus condition......I use Goldmine Magazine's strict guidelines for grading records.. This is part of a friend's collectors hell- he would buy the 45s and LPs used, put the jacket in a poly outer sleeve, and place the LP in a poly lined inner sleeve, then store it, NEVER playing it!!!.If it was sealed, he never openned it!!!...Mailed in a special Hard cardboard LP or 45 mailer for the safest ride to your house...I will combine auction wins to save you postage, but please let me know, and multiple purchases in the USA will ALL GO INSURED...Overseas buyers have the option for registration.. Also I do want to MOVE these out of here, so please complete all the combined auctions in a 2 week period, if possible...Overseas buyers please note that many countries have a 4 pound MAXIMUM on air mail packages, so there is a 4 to 5 LP limit on each shipment. Please check the US Post Office internet for postage costs and policies...These recordings are the work of a Steve Cataldo (ex-Front Page Review) and the album certainly is rather interesting and highly-rated by many. The band seem to have been based in the New York/Massachusetts area. The two sides of the album are titled "The Bastich" and "Over The Hills", which is why the latter is often referred to as the title in dealers' lists. The U.K. See For Miles reissue label tried to buy the rights to this album but MCA deny all knowledge of the tapes! Oddly, Whalefeather cover The Bastich on their second album! (Vernon Joynson / Clark Faville / Max Waller) ....AMG REVIEW: Saint Steven, aka Steve Cataldo, His tunes skirt between hard rock riffs and folk-rockish reflection, with a bit of frightening Gothic cathedral-style classicism thrown in. The periodic sound effects, like elephant roars and soundbites from the 1968 Republican Convention, come off as ingenious enhancements. There are semi-suite-like productions of the two LP sides, divided into sides called "Over the Hills" and "The Bastich," In its way, it reflects the disoriented confusion of the period, but disoriented confusion can be exciting.
