Description

Sweet Pain - Sweet Pain LP, Mercury 20146SMCL 1969. Fantastic top example of this brilliant r&b/ blues/ psych rock album with some deep blues sounds like "The Rooster Cries At Midnight" and "General Smit", to the blues into free jazz beat of "Don't Break Down", against the raucous psych blues rock of "Sick And Tired" and instrumental jazz blues psych of "Rubbin' And Scrapin'", with contrasting male and female vocals, harmonica and saxophone used to great effect and being a thoroughly great listen. Visually in top near mint condition and playing near perfect to me, no deterioration in sound I could hear other than a background crackle on the quieter mid-section of B1 and acoustic blues of B2, with one pop present. Sadly there is no cover with this for some inexplicable reason, but is a nice vinyl upgrade with a rich sound. Happy to combine postage at cost.
