Classic Southern Soul masterpiece by Billy Young (who lived in Macon, Georgia at the time). Recorded and produced at his FAME studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama by Rick Hall who also co-wrote the a-side with Dan Penn & Oscar Franck.
This is a ultra rare RED VINYL white label 1966 Chess pressing It was originally bought at a record store in the Kinker street in Amsterdam (see stamp on label). The center of Holland's "small and very underground" 60s/70s Surinam/Dutch Soul scene, responsable for importing some great and rare Soul discs from the states.
