Description
OK - BACK TO SOME GOOD COLLECTABLE 45s OF VARIOUS MUSICAL STYLES FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS - This is a reasonably priced ORIGINAL 1959 U.S. VULCO RECORDS (LOCAL FORT PIERCE FLORIDA LABEL) 45 RPM RECORD containing the rockabilly tunes titled 'Half A Heart'/'Take My Love' from Billy Eldridge And The Fireballs. It is Vulco Records catalog number 1507, and is a GUARANTEED 1959 ORIGINAL, NOT A 'REPRO' REPRODUCTION AND NOT A 'COLLECTORS PRESSING'!! This 45 appears to be a RARE ITEM which has not been offered on eBay either at auction or at fixed price sale during the past month as far as I can tell. 'Although 'Half A Heart' is billed as the B-side of the record it is definitely the A-side musically - It is a real nice midtempo pure rockabilly with a melody that will remind you in parts of the Elvis Presley tunes 'Don't Be Cruel' and 'I Beg Of You', with a real nice guitar break. 'Take My Love' is a rockabilly ballad. The visual condition of this record will be a bit frightening when you first look at it, but fortunately it is one of those records that plays considerably better than it looks - Visual condition is above filler but no better than fair to good with a good amount of surface marks and scratches, a number of which can be felt - I have played completely through both sides of this record, and on my turntable with a lightweight arm it played at a surprisingly nice high VG/low VG+ level with crackly surface noise and just a few scattered non-distracting ticks, no loud ticks or skips. There is a very thin streak of either light blue marker or paint just at the right hand border of the 'Half A Heart' label as can be seen in my accompanying image, and labels have some contact wear, no other flaws worth mentioning. Due to the visual condition issues I have placed a modest opening bid price on this rare and collectable Vulco rockabilly title, I will leave it to the bidder to decide its ultimate value - This rare 45 would be a choice addition to any rockabilly record collection! Winning bidder pays $3.00 first class mail postage or actual priority mail postage within the U.S. I WILL SHIP WORLDWIDE - First class international airmail postage to the UK or anyplace in Europe is $7.50, Canada $4.00 - Please e-mail me for postage rates to other areas outside the U.S. WINNING BIDDER PLEASE DO NOT SEND CASH - IT PROBABLY WILL NOT GET HERE! I will give an immediate refund (less shipping) upon return of the 45 if winning bidder is dissatisfied for any reason. Good luck!
