Description
This is an ORIGINAL - NOT A REPRO - 1958 U.S. PEAK RECORDS 45 RPM Memphis rockabilly single titled 'Doing All Right'/'Land Of Promises' from Eddie Cash and The Cashiers. It is Peak Records catalog number 1001. Like Sun Records, Peak Records was a Memphis TN label, and this 45 follows in the best Sun tradition - Eddie Cash sounds a lot like Elvis or early Conway Twitty vocally, and the music will remind you of the best Jerry Lee Lewis sides - 'Doing All Right' is a fast rocker with a heavy beat and Jerry Lee-style 'pumping piano'; 'Land Of Promises' is a real nice sparsely produced rockabilly ballad with a fine guitar break. Condition of record is a nice mid VG+ with most original gloss and a small to moderate amount of light surface marks which cannot be felt and will not affect play. Labels have a little contact wear as can be seen in the accompanying image, no writing, tears, stickers, or other problems. A repro copy of this 45 recently sold on eBay for $22.01 in completed eBay auction number 370308783702-the 45 on offer here is the real deal which books for $100-125. This record would make a choice addition to any rockabilly or roots rock-n-roll record collection!
