Description

OK, BACK TO SOME GOOD 45s OF VARIOUS MUSICAL STYLES FOR A WEEK OR TWO - This is a reasonably priced ORIGINAL 1959 U.S. KP Records RARE ROCKABILLY 45 RPM record containing the tunes titled 'Rockhouse'/'I Believe You Cared' from Ralph Jerome.   It is KP Records catalog number KP-1007, and is a GUARANTEED 1959 ORIGINAL, NOT A 'REPRO' REPRODUCTION AND NOT A 1970s ERA 'COLLECTORS PRESSING'!! - THIS 45 CAME FROM A COLLECTION OF ABOUT 200 45S I RECENTLY PURCHASED FROM A WOMAN WHO WORKED AT THE RCA PRESSING PLANT IN NEW YORK CITY DURING THE LATE 1950S AND VERY EARLY 1960S.  ALL OF THE RECORDS IN THAT COLLECTION WERE ORIGINAL PRESS ROCK AND POP RECORDS THAT WERE RELEASED DURING THE SAME TIME PERIOD.  ALSO, THE MATRIX MARKINGS ON THIS 45 ARE IDENTICAL TO THE ONES ON THE COPY OF THIS 45 I HAVE HAD IN MY PERSONAL COLLECTION FOR A LONG TIME.  DUE TO THE ORIGINS OF WHERE THIS 45 CAME FROM I WILL STATE AGAIN I AM COMPLETELY CONFIDENT THAT THIS 45 IS A 1959 ORIGINAL PRESSING. This appears to be a RARE ITEM which has not been offered on eBay either at auction or at fixed price sale during the past month as far as I can tell.  This is a GREAT take on the Roy Orbison classic with a wild guitar break - Sound bites of both sides of this 45 can be heard on the 'Rockin' Country Style' website.  This 45 books $75-100 in the Osborne 'Rockin' Records' guide.  This record is in real nice shape - Condition of record is conservatively a real nice NM- with all original gloss and just a couple of small and light surface marks which only show up under strong light, none of which can be felt and none of which affect play.  Record has one small bump in the vinyl play surface which is a slight pressing defect and which will probably cause a slight background bumping sound for three or four revolutions, no skips.  Record plays through nicely with a little light surface noise and the aforementioned slight background bumping sound for three or four revolutions.  Labels have a tiny bit of contact wear as can be seen in my accompanying image, no other real flaws worth mentioning.  This great and rare 45 would make a choice addition to any rockabilly or roots rock-n-roll record collection! Winning bidder pays $3.00 first class mail postage or actual priority mail postage within the U.S. I WILL SHIP WORLDWIDE - First class international airmail postage to the UK or anyplace in Europe is $7.50, Canada $4.00 - Please e-mail me for postage rates to other areas outside the U.S. WINNING BIDDER PLEASE DO NOT SEND CASH - IT PROBABLY WILL NOT GET HERE! I will give an immediate refund (less shipping) upon return of the 45 if winning bidder is dissatisfied for any reason. Good luck!
