Description
This rare, 12" record, was part of Jack Teagarden's personal music collection. Jack, who was a giant in the jazz music genre, playIng blues and jazz on the trombone. This set of records was given to me by Addie Teagarden, who was Jack's wife, back in the 1980s.
This edition is extremely rare and hardly ever seen. (Try to find one for sale. I've only seen one other, and it was in a museum.
This is Norman Grantz' first record on "Philo" labal, and using Young, Cole, and Callender. Here's your chance to get Lester Young, Nat King COLE, AND RED CALLENDER, ON THE PHILO LABEL, (before Alladin).
This is a two record edition set, featuring TEA FOR TWO, I CAN'T GET STARTED, BODY AND SOUL, AND INDIANA.
This is, actually, an Alladin record and label, ultimately in 1953, released as a Philo in 1942. This set is very rare.
I've owned this set, since about 1985.
At my age (80), I am beginning to sell a lifelong, eclectic, collection of unique artwork. I enjoyed this great collection. Now, it's time to share it with others.
If you'll notice, I will be selling my entire collection, which I have accumulated for over 50 years. My feedbacks reflect my honesty and fairness. I have been selling on Ebay for over fifteen years, but, now it is time to share this great collection of paintings, music memorabilia, jazz and rock records, statues, political history, antique books, vaudeville, Louis Armstrong, and genuine, original, signed photos and, etc., etc.
Thank you for looking - and please keep me on your favorite sellers list. If YOU HAVE QUESTIONS, I AM VERY COMMUNICATIVE.
Best Regards, JIMMY N
