Vinyl Grading Ratings:
• Mint (M): Brand new. No surface marks, no sound deterioration. Any extra items also accounted for, including cover, but can also include booklets, lyric sheets and posters. “Never played” and “sealed”.
• Near Mint (NM or M minus): Almost perfect. Not even minor signs of wear and minimal defects on the sleeve/cover, but may be slight handling signs like finger smudges. No creases in cover, seam splits or folds. Same for any extra items. May have been played, but handled with extreme care.
• Very Good Plus (VG plus): Record has been played, but still sounds great. No surface marks or scratches that affect playback. Cover has slight creasing or wear. Extra items included and in the same condition as the cover. Record may have slight warps that do not affect the sound.
• Very Good (VG): Record played several times, but still has good sound quality. Record has slight surface marks and possibly a couple of light scratches. Cover has normal wear and tear from use. Any extra items with the original record are included and may have normal wear and tear from use.
• Good (G): Record has been played many times over the years and sound quality is noticeably deteriorated. There may be some distortion of the record and mild scratching. Cover and extra items are present but may have creasing, folding lines, scuffed edges, splitting seams and possible discoloration.
• Fair (F): Record has not had proper care. It may have been left out of its sleeve, dropped or have other damage. Record can still be played, but will have a lot of surface noise and may jump. Record is warped and scratched with possible damage to the center. Cover and extra items are included but will be stained, torn, written on, etc.
