Hi there once again eBayers!

Here I have a very rare LP - The Missing Links Original, Mono, Self Titled, Vinyl Record, released in December 1965 by Philips.  Catalogue No PD 199. 

NB: There have been several re-releases of this album.  This is not a re-release.  It is the original release.

Wikipedia says the following:

“The Missing Links were an Australian R&B group from Sydney which existed from 1964 to 1966. The group wore their hair long and smashed their equipment on-stage...and released their debut album, The Missing Links in December. According to Allmusic's, Richie Unterberger, "This aggregation cut the rawest Australian garage/punk of the era, and indeed some of the best from anywhere, sounding at their best like a fusion of the Troggs and the early Who, letting loose at times with wild feedback that was quite ahead of its time".

The Missing Links have influenced many later Australian groups, including The Saints which covered "Wild About You" on their debut album, (I'm) Stranded (1977). In October 2010, The Missing Links' debut album, The Missing Links was listed in the top 50 in the book, 100 Best Australian Albums.”

I have listed the condition of the vinyl as very good.  This may be a conservative rating for an LP of this age and rarity.  The vinyl has some minor finger marks and a couple of very minor other marks.  I have not attempted to clean or play this record, but from its appearance, it should play very well.  At the bottom of side 1 (as pictured) there is a small white mark on the rim – this is a remnant of the sleeve that has, over time, become stuck to the vinyl.  Again, I have not made any attempt to clean this vinyl.

I have also rated the sleeve as very good.  It has some discolouration around the perimeter and there is a wear mark on the top of the front cover showing the record circumference, with a similar mark on the rear and some small stains.  The glue retains its integrity.

Enlarge the photographs for the best visual description of condition!  I’ve used the flash, different angles and light settings in an attempt to show as much detail as possible.  Where I haven’t used the flash, this is more indicative of colour and gives different detail of the condition.

In my reply to a question which has been added to the listing I left out a very important "not" in me reply regarding the creasing and the spine. The flexibility of the cover where the record meets the spine and makes two minor creases does NOT affect the integrity of the spine.
