RARE Three Hours for Magic Jim Morrison Special London Wavelength 4 vinyl LP
I found this in my brother's record collection after he passed and I have absolutely NO idea where he got this. It's very cool, but I'm downsizing and I honestly think a real collector should have this.
I've done some research and have listed below some excerpts from websites that I found. I also have an 11-page insert (I've included a photo of the first and fifth page, but I was unable to add additional photos) so if you are interested, message me and I will try to send you the photos of this insert.
Please contact me with ANY questions that you may have and/or if you would like additional photos.
FREE shipping in the continental US with USPS Priority Mail (for other areas, contact me and I will happily calculate shipping for you).
Below is a description from a website called Discogs.com (it says "3 LP's" but what I have has 4--I believe the additional LP is the one marked "Opening & Closing Billboards" on one side and "Drop-ins & Promos" on the reverse (please see my photos).
A London Wavelength Presentation
produced by Jon Sargent
In association with Frank Liscandro, author of the recently published photojournal, "AN HOUR FOR MAGIC"
The Doors - Three Hours For Magic: The Jim Morrison Story [London Wavelength 3LP's] This is one of the rarest Doors recordings out there, once even considered a "phantom recording" until a vinyl edition popped up. This recording was made in 1982 and was supposedly broadcast once in England in '83. It was pressed in a limited number of 500 vinyl copies that were promos given to radio stations in the early 80's. Very few have seem to have survived. It contains three hours of anecdotes about Jim Morrison from everyone from Corky Courson, Pam's father, to Tony Liscandro, to journalists, the Doors and the like. It is truly an amazing set for any Doors fan. It also contains Jim reading poetry from the Lost Paris sessions of '71. Ex SBD stereo.
Below is a description from DoorsInfo.com: released 1982 origin US summary A Jon Sargent radio show released in only 500 copies, in a white record box set. Also included with the official releases is another LP with radio promos only. The unofficial release is in an all black box set and does not include the forth promo LP. An excellent collector's item, recommended. tracks Side One
