Description
RARE ORIGINAL UK LP - The Beatles "Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band"(Y/Black Parlophone PMC 7027). No real need to describe the contents of this classic album, but of REAL interest is that this is a MEGA-RARE 4th PROOF COPY. This 4th proof sleeve was apparently not intended for public release, but several copies were still printed. These can be spotted by these references on the inside sleeve, as follows:- "AR D 1321" and "Fourth Proof", plus "Patents Pending" after the reference on the rear cover to "Garrod & Lofthouse". These are ALL on this particular copy. The record has "The Gramophone Co Ltd...." and "Sold In The UK..." label text. Regarding the condition of the vinyl, there is one scratch, lightly "feelable" on Side One, and subsequently, there are light "clicks" heard intermittently near the end of "With A Little Help..." and some of "Lucy In The Sky..." otherwise the LP is fine!! The sleeve is in EXCELLENT CONDITION, with slight corner wear, and of course, the item comes complete with the original red-to-white psychedelic inner sleeve, AND the cardboard "Sgt Pepper" cutout, both in EX CONDITION. This IS a SCARCE item, and I want to be accurate about the contents, so if you require ANY further details please contact me. Happy to oblige!!
