This record set looks gorgeous near mint - the vinyl, covers, inner sleeve and 18 page booklets all.

Cleaned records play with mostly quiet surfaces, some occasional slight surface noise.

Not many spindle marks on this scarce record set from the UK. This is one of the earliest LP issues of the Bach cello suite by Casals recorded in the late 1930's. A beautiful set of 3 individual records with luscious green and gold covers. RARE, seldom seen vinyl records! Do not miss this opportunity!

From the 18 page booklet in each record, it says of Pablo Casals:
"It was in Barcelona, at the age of 13, that he first discovered Bach's Six Suites. He was to make them known and loved throughout the world, creating an impression which was as profound as it was spontaneous. But it was only after twelve years of constant study that he trusted himself to play any of the Suites in public - a magnificient example of artistic integrity which makes his love of Bach abundantly clear." He actually started out his day by playing one of the suites.

And Tim Janof of 'Internet cello Society' writes:
For those over thirty years old, Pablo Casals was probably the most influential Bach Suite interpreter of our musical upbringing. Casals' thundering words still echo in our heads, Bach
