Description
Hard-to-find self-titled LP from Babylon self-released on Mehum Music/USA Artists (4641) in 1978. Florida 5-piece band with four long progressive rock tunes showing a strong Genesis influence: "The Mote In God's Eye" in particular. Odd sounding lead singer and lengthy instrumental sections that are symphonic with a fair amount of complexity. Drummer goes for the early-Genesis Phil Collins style...not quite up to snuff but still pretty good. Noticeable Steve Hackett sounding guitar effects. Very decent effort for a self-released album and extremely rare!
