Description

This is a rare promotional 45 rpm vinyl record that was the result of a studio session awarded to the Best New Bluegrass Band winner of 1986 Kentucky Fried Chicken Bluegrass Music Festival. The winner that year was Union Station, featuring a young teenaged Alison Krauss. Per my research, the winner would receive a recording session that included 750 promotional records for distribution, this in addition to a substantial monetary prize awarded to the band and booking at the following year’s festival. I’ve included 1986 festival flyer and 1987 festival lineup with my images. Please check my facts.

Issue with the record: This copy has an indention that is shown in photos 5 & 6, a view from each side of the record. I have played the record on both sides and it plays well with no skips, only occasional crackles that are customary for older vinyl.

I am happy to provide additional photos upon request.
