Description
You are bidding on a RARE Victor Grand Prize 7181 B Cantonese Chinese Single-Sided 78. The artist is unknown and I have not played the disc. The record has few markings and looks to be in great shape considering it’s almost 120 years old! There is some typical light age-expected wear with a small stain on the label, but overall is a very clean record. This yellow and red Grand Prize label goes by the term Velly Good Talkee first issued in 1904. The back of this single-sided single is dated 1906 however the recording may be several years older. These appear to have been sold to the Chinese Colony in North America and are rarely seen in China or culturally referenced in Southeast Asia.
