Description

RARE WITHDRAWN “THE GAMES” 1970 SOUNDTRACK LP SIGNED BY MICHAEL WINNER  w/COA!!

Here is an album you won’t find anywhere else! It is the soundtrack album for a 1970 film starring Ryan O’Neal about a group of runners vying for the Olympics that had to be WITHDRAWN because rights to an ELTON JOHN song on the album called “From Denver to L.A.” had not been properly obtained.  That’s the story the movie’s director, Michael Winner, told us when a fan presented it to him to sign when he appeared at the American Cinematheque’s Aero Theatre in Santa Monica, CA. for a screening of another one of his films (before his 2013 death.) “That’s a very rare one, my boy!” he practically crowed when he was asked to sign the LP, which he did in black Sharpie. The LP was only played once so we’ve listed it in Near Mint (M) condition. The album cover has a piece of tape at the mid top edge and also on the mid bottom edge, which looks like there was a minor tear, see pic. There are also a couple of corner bumps on the top left and bottom right. Because of the super rarity of this LP, we must sell it AS IS, The item comes with a Certificate of Authenticity (COA).

Please keep in mind, any vintage or pre-owned album may have age wear, storage wear, corner bumping, etc.

If you wish to return an item for any reason within a reasonable amount of time, just send it back to us and we will gladly give you a full refund.
