Description

RARE.DAVID BOWIE ALADDIN SANE 1st LP.Fan Club Insert.

Hi and a BIG thank you for your time to view my items.

Before you look and read my listings please take the time to read my Terms and Conditions, you will find them at the bottom of my listing and unless I have mis-written them I believe they are quite clear.
On my last listings I had buyers paying me minutes after the end of my auctions. I’m very happy for this to happen but I send items by the final weight after packing and protection have been added now for 1 LP to be posted with an average weight is around 600grams. I weigh every item that is won and use the royal mail website to give me the correct cost of sending this item.
The cost to send 1 LP by First Class signed for is £4.10. 2nd class £3.70. Look at the Royal Mail website. To send items overseas to Europe is £11.70. To Japan £15.20 other countries will be around this cost. If you wish to purchase more items from my auction and win, then these costs will change as it will be calculated on weight.
IF ANY WINNING BIDDER CONTACTS ME AND ASKS FOR A REDUCED POSTAL COST BECAUSE OF MULTIPLE WINS THEN I WILL CANCEL THE TRANSACTION. NO EXCEPTIONS.
I am not making money on this and I fail to see why I should send items at a lower cost as was pointed out to me by one winner who was prepared to open a case against me. I am also not putting a fictitious cost so that it may gain me more bids.
If you disbelieve me please visit our Royal Mail website
www.royalmail.com/price-finder and check the cost for yourself.
Please also note I will not send any item by any other means other than Signed for, or International signed for. With NO exceptions.
If an item is won over £50 I will also not send this without insurance, again no exceptions.

.

I have once again after a very long break to list hopefully a varied selection of items from a very large collection that I have been collecting over many years. .

Now I’m not here to have an open debate or argument with anyone in the Ebay community, whether they be a professional or amateur seller or collector but over my collecting years there is always an element of surface or background noise/sound with audio reproduction on vinyl reproduction, I have purchased sealed audiophile heavyweight pressings that have suffered from some surface noise and in the very odd case were totally unplayable. I have purchased sealed records straight from the factory and these have suffered some degree of surface noise, it’s inherent in the pressing of vinyl and the way it is produced.
All used vinyl has at least light marks and surface scratches which are always visible when viewed under a bright light, my advice would be to stick to CD if you are after total blackout silence. Myself I believe surface noise adds to an emotional experience of reality which can not be matched by CD only my opinion

All the records (LP’s and 7 inch singles) that I intend to put onto Ebay for sale are 2nd hand either my own or have been given to me and have in many cases been played, some more than others. But I will always highlight this fact when grading, if the vinyl has surface marks or other defects these will be pointed out also.

I’m very sorry but I don’t always have time to play grade every single item, and the majority of my grading is done by purely visual means, so please view my feedback and you will see that I try to give the best account on the condition of any item I put up for auction.

This is my hobby and not my profession.

I will though play LP’s, and singles that are very collectable to get a better insight to the playing condition of the item being sold for auction.

I will never play/sound grade coloured vinyl or picture discs, they were made as limited edition collector's items only and the vinyl used to do this was of a lower quality. They will more likely have crackle and pop with background noise. They were made only to be aesthetically pleasing to the eye, rather than have audiophile sound quality.
Now I accept that the above may differ from any winning bidders perception of what I have graded. I cannot always vouch for whether every record plays all the way through in total black silence with no noise. If you have any doubts then please email me or again just view my feedback.

Aladdin Sane is the sixth album by David Bowie, released by RCA Records in 1973. The follow-up to his breakthrough The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars, it was the first album Bowie wrote and released as a bona fide rock star. While many critics agree that it contains some of his best material, opinion as to its overall quality has often been divided. NME editors Roy Carr and Charles Shaar Murray called the album "oddly unsatisfying, considerably less than the sum of the parts", while Bowie encyclopedist Nicholas Pegg describes it as "one of the most urgent, compelling and essential" of his releases. The Rolling Stone review by Ben Gerson pronounced it "less manic than The Man Who Sold The World, and less intimate than Hunky Dory, with none of its attacks of self-doubt." It was one of six Bowie entries in Rolling Stone's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time at no.277 and ranked no.77 on Pitchfork Media's Top 100 Albums of the 1970s

THE COVER: The gatefold cover shows some very very minor wear to the edges and corners.
There are no splits or tears and is free from any writing or other damage.
I have graded the cover in EXCELLENT condition.

THE BACK COVER: Again the back cover shows no writing and has been graded in EXCELLENT condition.

THE INNER SLEEVE: The printed lyric inner sleeve shows no signs of splits or damage. And has been graded in EXCELLENT condition

THE VINYL: The vinyl has the most fantastic shine to both playing surfaces and shows no scratches at all when held up and viewed under a strong light. There are some very faint marks which have been made taking the LP out of its sleeve. I have graded the LP in EXCELLENT condition.

THE LABELS: The labels show some very light spindle marks which show that the LP has been played. Both labels are in EXCELLENT condition with no writing on any of the surfaces. There is a very small mark on side 1 which can be seen in the supplied pics.

MATRIX NUMBERS.: The matrix numbers machine stamped into the run-out grooves are.
