The Kinks were surely one of the great 60's bands with hits like "Waterloo Sunset", "You Really Got Me", "Dead End Street", "Dedicated Follower of Fashion" and so many others. This contract is for a gig at the Victoria Ballroom in Chesterfield on January 13th 1966 to play for 2 hours in two sessions between 7.30 and 10.30 pm for a fee of 60% of the gate money, which was 8 shillings (40) per person, with a guaranteed fee of £200.
Historical note: - on January 8th 1966 The Kinks appeared on the last broadcast of ABC-TV's "Shindig". On January 15th their hit "Till The End Of The Day" hit UK No.8 in the charts.
Condition: Not bad for its age, small tear at the top, some creases.
