Up for sale is this EXTREMELY RARE 45 - The Ambitions - Traveling Stranger / Come Back to Me on CROSS Records. These songs were recorded in Houma, Louisiana in the early 60s by Eldrige Robicheaux and Anthony 'Rod' Rodrigue at CROSS Records Studio on Main Street. Dover Records must have picked it up out of New Orleans and tried to distribute the record. Not much is known about the group but I can assume that they were a local group of African American musicians. This is unique because there were not many Black artists recording at the time in South Louisiana outside of New Orleans, especially way down south in Bayou Country. "Traveling Stranger" is a doo-wop style tune and "Come Back to Me" is a slow soulful blues ballad. This is what they call a HOLY GRAIL Record!
