Description

Hi!  You're looking at an excellent condition, NEAR MINT / NEAR MINT- condition record which is an ORIGINAL ISSUE on the audiophile RCA LIVING STEREO label---the LP bears the serial number LSC-2225, is an early pressing with 1S / 3S stampers and has phenomenal sound--it was pressed in 1958, when RCA was making some of the finest audiophile vinyl ever heard!  The LP has a NEAR MINT- condition cover with light shelfwear and a small dark smudge in the upper right corner of the back cover;  the vinyl is in NEAR MINT- condition with some paper scuffing and a few moderate scuffs that should not significantly affect play.  The record is titled "Witches' Brew" and features brilliant performances of classical music that fits the record's delightful Halloween theme.  The compositions include the "Overture to 'Tam O'Shanter'" by MALCOLM ARNOLD;  "Gnomus" from "Pictures at an Exhibition" by MODEST MOUSSORGSKY, arranged by MAURICE RAVEL;  "A Night on Bare Mountain" by MODEST MUSSORGSKY;  "Danse Macabre", Opus 40, by CAMILLE SAINT-SAENS;  "Witches' Ride" from "Hansel and Gretel" by ENGELBERT HUMPERDINCK;  and "Mephisto Waltz" by FRANZ LISZT.  The performances are by conductor ALEXANDER GIBSON, who leads the New Symphony Orchestra of London.  A fantastic find, and a beautiful copy of this RARE and collectible record!
