Description
Hi! You're looking at a SUPERB condition LP with 2s / 4s stampers in the runout grooves and a RCA LIVING STEREO Vinyl Record on the RCA Victor Red Seal "Shaded Dog" label issued in 1961 on bright red labels and a brilliant recording of the music of composer JOHANN STRAUSS titled "The Vienna of Johann Strauss"--the LP features performances of the Overture to "Die Fledermaus," "Annen Polka," Opus 117, "Delirien Waltz," the Overture to "Gypsy Baron," "Auf Der Jagd Polka," and "Tales from the Vienna Woods" by conductor HERBERT VON KARAJAN and the VIENNA PHILHARMONIC. The LP is on the RCA Victor Red Seal label with the bright red "Shaded Dog" label, bears the serial number LSC-2538, is a LIVING STEREO recording with 2S / 4S stampers in the runout grooves made in the United States in 1961 (it's a 2nd Edition after a deluxe Soria Series issue).
This LP is in SUPERB condition and the vinyl should play beautifully and is in strong NEAR MINT- (Ex) condition, with a few very light paper scuffs that should not significantly affect play and NO other significant flaws; the cover is in NEAR MINT condition with light dings on the spine tips and slight dings on the opening tips, very light wear on the edges and just slight shelfwear otherwise but NO other significant flaws--it's NOT a cutout1 The ORIGINAL RCA INNER SLEEVE is also included and is in FLAWLESS shape!
Vinyl Grading Standards (unless otherwise indicated, LPs are visually graded)
Mint (or M) – Sealed and effectively perfect with no signs of wear or ever having been played.
Near Mint -- A record with only the slightest evidence of ever having been handled.
Very Good Plus Plus (VG++) A very clean record that has no marks aside from slight scuffs and abrasions caused by removal from a paper inner sleeve or perhaps a few marks on the label caused by a turntable spindle.
Very Good Plus (VG+) A record that has had a number of plays and may have some superficial scuffs, possibly mild to moderate spindle marks and / or possibly hairline scratches on the vinyl, which may produce some intermittent pops and possibly very light background noise.
Very Good (VG) A record that has generally been well cared for, but has seen a fair amount of play, with some scuffing. hairline scratches, spindle marks and / or light scratches. Should play through well, with the possibility of more pops and more background noise.
Very Good Minus (VG-) A record with significant scuffs, scratches, and spindle marks that should play through with moderate pops and surface noise, possibly of some duration.
Good (G) A record with will play through, but with significant pops, substantial background noise, and possibly intermittent skipping.
Poor (P) A record with MAJOR issues that will interfere with play, and will possibly be unplayable in part due to damage (I'll only offer an LP in this condition if it's an extreme rarity and / or for cover art display purposes).
A fantastic find, and a beautiful copy of this vinyl LP!
