Description

RCA LSC 1900, Berlioz, Symphonie Fantastique, Charles Munch, Boston Symphony Orchestra,  serial #1-1042 (1995) – This is from the first generation of pressings by Classic Records on 180 gram virgin vinyl.  It was mastered by Bernie Grundman from the original master tape.  Apparently, RCA never released the original in stereo - only mono..  This copy is a rare numbered first edition serial #1-1042 (see photo).   It has spent many years on HP's TAS Super Disk List, and the sound and ambiance are spectacular.  It has a very wide and deep sound-stage with huge dynamics.  This is my own personal copy, and I have only played it twice.  The vinyl surfaces are clean, glossy and exceptionally quiet with no pops, clicks, skips or tics. There are NO scuff marks.  It is very close to a perfect copy and plays beautifully.  The vinyl grading is mint (M) and the labels are perfectly clean  (see photos). The jacket is also mint.  In summary, this is beautiful copy of this wonderful golden age recording. Feel free to return for full refund if not completely satisfied.
