Highly collectable title from from the legendary RCA "Shaded Dog" line. RCA revolutionized stereo with these groundbreaking recordings.
Cover is in really nice condition. There is a small amount of chipping on the spine. Corners are sharp. Original RCA inner sleeve in great condition. Vinyl has a few visual scuffs and hairlines... expect minor intermittent surface noise and an occasional crackle or light pop. Nothing major.

Review: This is one of two near-definitive recordings of Daphnis Et Chloe, the other being Ernest Ansermet's on Decca/London. The Munch recording offers a little more elan and a far better sound than Ansermet; ideally the music collector will want both.
Munch's recording is part of the legendary RCA Living Stereo series of recordings that date from the fifties, and this one has always been regarded as one demonstrating state-of-the-art sound. Indeed, many of the original recordings are highly prized by collectors today. ~ Amazon

As the adoption of Stereo audio became more widespread, Living Stereo offered a wide range of music and performances in high quality sound. A majority of these records, particularly classical music, offer music, performances and audio quality which are considered definitive. Living Stereo influenced many of the recordings that followed with their recording and marketing philosophies.
