This is a wonderful album with the great Byron Janis as the soloist on piano, this may be the greatest stereo recorded version of Rachmaninoff's "Piano Concerto No. 3 in d Minor, Op. 30.

Charles Munch leading the Boston Symphony Orchestra.

With the duo of Richard Mohr as producer and Lewis Layton as engineer, RCA has a musical masterpiece w / the piano in this recording being spot miked. This is of course a early triple track master tape in the great acoustics of Boston Symphony Hall.
