Description

Hi!  You're looking at a FANTASTIC, 6 LP box set on the RCA Red Seal "Shaded Dog" label that's an ORIGINAL ISSUE and has vinyl in NEAR MINT, LIKE NEW condition!!  This is a set of solo piano music by FREDERIC CHOPIN as performed by the man who was perhaps the foremost interpreter of Chopin's piano music in the 20th Century--ARTUR RUBINSTEIN.   In addition, the set is an incredible monument to the talents of both the composer and the pianist--this is a COMPLETE SET, ON 6 LPs, of Chopin's piano music!!  The record box set includes ALL of the Polonaises, Nocturnes, Waltzes, Impromptus, and Preludes of Chopin, presented in sequence by Opus number and according to type of composition.  The set also includes a beautiful 16 page booklet with a great essay by Irving Kolodin, full discographical details of all the compositions, and a range of nice photographs and illustrations (even including life casts of Chopin's hands!).  The record is an ORIGINAL ISSUE and bears the serial number LM-6802; all records are on the "Shaded Dog" label and it's a "New Orthophonic" High Fidelity monophonic recording, pressed in 1958.  A stunning, monumental set of music!!

This record box set is in SUPERB condition--the vinyl appears UNPLAYED (no spindle marks visible) and is in NEAR MINT condition--it's in the NICEST possible condition!!  The book enclosed is also in NEAR MINT condition and does not appear to have been read or opened.  The box is in NEAR MINT- condition, with some separation on the sides of the bottom box flap (it is still attached, however) and tape residue in the same area---the box is fully attached to the box back, the spine is in excellent condition, and there is only minimal shelf wear and a slight abrasion where the price sticker was placed in the upper right hand corner.  A fantastic copy, with the nicest vinyl you will probably ever find in an ORIGINAL issue!!

Thanks very much for looking, and good luck if you're bidding!!  Also be sure to check out all of my other vintage classical vinyl currently listed on ebay auctions, including many other ORIGINAL RCA "Shaded Dog" LPs and lots of other vintage labels!!
