Description
RCA Thesaurus #SHOP8. Circa 1962 LP. Side A has Time Signal Jingles from 17 to 27 seconds in length. Side B has announcements from Lawrence Welk. From 7 seconds to 56 seconds in length. Locked groove. Vinyl has been VPI cleaned & is in VG+ condition. Includes the original company sleeve.

RCA Thesaurus is offering its local radio station subscribers a new merchandising plan for sponsors, keyed to the slogan "shop at the store with the Mike on the door."

RCA Thesaurus, a brand owned by RCA Victor, was a supplier of electrical transcriptions. Electrical transcriptions (ET) are special phonograph recordings made exclusively for radio broadcasting. They provided material - from station-identification jingles and commercials to full-length programs - for use by local stations, which were affiliates of one of the radio networks. Physically ET's look much like long-playing records.
