Description
SETTLE IN FOR A LONG RUN OF COLLECTABLE LPs OF VARIOUS MUSICALS STYLES. This is a reasonably priced ORIGINAL 1959 RCA VICTOR LIVING STEREO U.S. PRESS 7 LP BOX SET containing performances of eight well known symphonies by The Boston Symphony Orchestra, with Charles Munch and Pierre Monteux variously conducting. It is RCA Victor Living Stereo catalog number LSC-6902, rigid vinyl deep groove pressings, maroon 'shaded dog' labels with silver print. The package includes the original 12-page 12" x 12" book with essays about the symphonies heard. A listing of the symphonies heard can be seen in my accompanying image of the front cover of the box. Condition of records is generally VG++ with each record having a very few light sleeve and/or surface marks which cannot be felt and do not affect play. Records come packaged inside the box in their original poly lined RCA Victor stock inner sleeves. Condition of box is a low to mid VG+ with three torn corners which have been neatly repaired with clear tape, a split in the middle of the top edge of the front cover, some contact wear, and some wear along the edges and on the corners. Box has no writing or stickers other than a factory applied sticker on the back of the box describing RCA Victor's 'Miracle Surface' anti-static ingredient 317X. This rigid vinyl deep groove 'shaded dog' vintage press Living Stereo box set would make a nice addition to any classical record collection!
