Description

 A beautiful copy of a highly desirable recording:  SZERYNG/IN RECITAL/RCA LSC-2421

The record includes performances of:

Vitali - Chaconne in G Minor
Tartini - The Devil's Tree
Tartini - Variations On Theme By Corelli
Gluck - Melodie
Kreisler - Allegretto
Schumann - Prophetic Bird, Op. 82, No. 7
Halffter-Heifetz - Danza De La Gitana
Wieniawski - Scherzo-Tarantelli, Op. 16

with CHARLES REINER, PIANO

This is the original Living Stereo Shaded Dog pressing with 2S/1S Indianapolis stampers.  
The jacket has the following flaws: the front cover has ring wear, there are neat repairs with scotch tape to the upper and lower edges, and the back cover has two 3/4" spots where white paint has been used to cover what must have been ink.
The LP is beautiful with no spindle marks or scratches.  Of course is does have the scuffs that all vintage RCA Living Stereo LPs have and which do not interfere with the glorious sound.  Also
I believe these stampers to the lowest released; at least I've never seen a 1S/1S copy.  And I've never seen a reissue of this LP so I suspect that the master tape is either not available or is not in good enough condition to allow a reissue.  So if you want one of the greatest solo violin recordings were made, you will have to buy a reissue and you are not likely to find a better copy of than this LP.
