Description
Please Read Full Listing Before Purchase - Thanks.
On offer is a real rarity which may appeal to both Tamla and Pink Floyd collectors.
This 7" Single is a Tamla Motown TMG 740 pressing but has The Pink Floyd - Scarecrow labels on both sides on the Columbia label DB 8214, I believe Tamla used to get some of their records pressed by Columbia, Rca and others in times of high demand, this one obviously was pressed at the Columbia plant but had the Pink Floyd labels put on in error, the matrix numbers are Tamla codes TMG 740 -A2/B1, The record plays the Tracks by Jimmy Ruffin - A Side - I'll say forever my love & B Side - Everybody needs Love, also of note the vinyl is very light and thin compared to normal Tamla & Columbia pressings.
Vinyl: Vg- - The Record has some visible surface marks and light scratches etc, also appears to have a slight warp only noticeable when you play the B side, despite these it Plays very good throughout, some crackle at the start leading in which quickly clears and occasional tics/clicks heard, nothing major though and still a great listen with no skips or jumps.
Sleeve: Vg - Provided in a Columbia company sleeve as pictured.
Very Good: Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
Please note: A mid range Technics record player was used to test play the record, playback results may differ on superior or inferior turntables, all records are graded as per the Record Collector's Grading Guide which can be googled if you need further information.
