REALLY RED were one of the most important punk bands to come out of Texas: "Their huge contributions to the early Houston and Texas underground scene cannot be overstated yet somehow Really Red's contributions and influence has been often overlooked and neglected.

Among their other accomplishments, Really Red were the first Texas punk band to tour extensively outside of Texas. They were the only Texas punk band to be included on the first nationally distributed compilation album of North American punk and alternative music.
