RED SQUARES -- Same -- hard to find, original 1966 Danish album. First LP by this still relatively-unknown mid-1960's British beat-garage band who put out two albums and a handful of singles in Denmark only where they had a sizable following. High-point is the all-out garage raver "You Can Be My Baby" co-written by band-member Ronnie Martin; moody Beat ballad "Pain" is also very good, along with excellent covers of the Beach Boys' "I Get Around," Dusty Springfield's "Wishing and Hoping", "Dancing In The Street", Curtis Mayfield's "People Get Ready" and others. Cover: VG-/VG, removable price sticker at upper right, several small tears along right side at opening edge, several abrasions on back at middle left, wear at corners. Record: Good+ to VG-, several light-to-moderate scuffs and scratches on both sides, on black Columbia label, Danish pressing, listed as stereo/mono.
