Description

PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question.   OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. Because of that dedication, there should be no need to open a resolution dispute before working with us.  Please keep in mind, we would prefer to continue to provide you the opportunity to acquire the rare music we present each and every week.   Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable.  We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over 18,000 positive feedback.   We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so. Thank you for your interest and support.   ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SHIPPING:   USA ~ 1 LP = $4.00 Media Priority rates vary by area; please inquire.   All Canadian and Overseas shipping ~ Please inquire about rates. • Historically considered to be their first masterpiece, Rubber Soul sees the Beatles exploring more adventurous territory as a band. Composed of all originals, we see here John at the top of his lyrical form ("Norwegian Wood", "Nowhere Man", "Girl", and "In My Life" are four of his best songs ever), and Paul throws in a few gems ("Michelle", "Drive My Car".)

    .......................................................................................................

Rubber Soul is THE turning point Beatles album. With Rubber Soul's forays into Indian/world music in 'Norwegian Wood', first blossoming of Lennon's universal love theme in 'The Word', Harrison's nebulous spiritual awareness in 'Think For Yourself' and the inclusion of a songwriting credit for Ringo, this surely the album which sets The Beatles on the path of the 'mature' half of their career. But, what also keeps it bobbing along nicely is the groovy-pop undertones in songs like 'Drive My Car', 'The Word' and 'Think For Yourself.' Elsewhere a unique funky approach rings on 'What Goes On' which makes it very pleasant to hear Ringo's vocals. All this change going on in The Beatles' minds and music is also evidenced by the album cover, with the slightly psychedelic-twisting of the image of the band, and the look of self confident young men on their faces rather than the "mop-top" lads they seem to look on previous album covers. The band put cover versions behind them in Rubber Soul, and were set into classic progressive pop-psych and rock permanently.

    CONDITION:

  • The cover: rated: "EX" (excellent) would have graded near M- but for a thin spider web type handling line at top left, not on the near M- back! Contains the old-style flip-back seams... there are no delete marks, no split seams, no faded colors and no writing  ...
The vinyl: Rated: VG, deep dark ruby-red vinyl, now the thing is looks like embedded dust particles in the grooves, pretty sure most all of that should be eliminated with "ultra-sonic" cleaner... there are a few lines her or there but nothing you can feel, we have to grade VG but may very well play better audio wise. Unable to test at this time as our (record player) system is being restored this week. Both silver and black Odeon labels are clean.

A cool addition to anyone's music library!
