Description
An original Air Recording Studios 1/4", 7.5 ips, 5 inch Reel to Reel Copy Mater Tape in box, dated October 1971. The box contains the hand written information that the Producer is George Martin (of Beatles fame), the main artist is Cilla Black and that this stereo copy tape belonged to Mike Vickers (ex Manfred Man group member, he wrote one of these songs and also conducted the orchestra). The Cilla Black songs are 'Something's Going to Happen Tonight' and La La Lu' (used in the Please Sir comedy feature film. I believe there are 2 versions of one of these songs, but my old reel to reel player no longer works, so I can't check for certain (the last time I played it the sound was excellent quality). It also contains 2 versions of a TV commercial theme ( I believe that the orchestra was again conducted by Mike Vickers) for Bovril 'Dolls House'. It is possible of course that the Cilla Black songs may be different versions/mixes to those released at the time. A very collectable item for Cilla Black, George Martin and Mike Vickers/Manfred Man fans.
