Description

R.E.M. Monster - cover is shiny gloss and shows scuffs, fingerprints easily.  Minor shelf wear, edges shows it, slight crinkling in the corners.  LP is housed in nice clear sleeve and is very clean.  Shows a  mark on side 1, track 3 "King of Comedy" which was concerning so I played through that side to listen for it.  I could detect no audible trace of the mark during that track...and in face the entire side sounded clean with the random pop and tick usual to vinyl.  This track, and the rest of the side, is cut at a high level with pretty consistent volume so any surface noise does not intrude into the music.  
I purchased this new when it came out and am a maniacal audiophile and cared for this very well...I figure the odd mark is intrinsic to the vinyl or was there when I got it, because it certainly saw no abuse under my care.  It has only been played on a high end (VPI) deck and traced with the likes of Grado and Sumiko cartridges that were properly set up in a Rega RB300 arm.
