With the ANADISQ 200 LPs, Mobile Fidelity brings you the best of the past and the future. All the warmth ambience of high fidelity analog recordings delivered with the revolutionary GAIN System - a state of the art, proprietary mastering technique that marries the art of cutting with the technology of tomorrow.
In the development of the GAIN System, our engineering team updated Mobile Fidelity's one-of-a-kind lathe by minimising the number of components in the amplification process that affect the signal path-thereby achieving maximum intrinsic linearity. To do this, the lathe was outfitted with mosfet Class A amplifiers-reducing 17 op amp stages to a minimal number of gain stages. In addition to minimising the amount of distortion affecting the signal, the new amps idle at 250 watts per channel, creating an exceptionally high-bias signal that delivers a depth and ambience that puts you right in the recording studio with your favourite artist.
And, as with all Mobile Fidelity product, the ANADISQ 200 series is exclusively transferred from the original master tape from the musician's actual studio sessions-never the second or third generation tapes that are often used by mass producing music labels. ANADISQ 200 are cut with Mobile Fidelity's exclusive half-speed mastering process, capturing every nuance of sound from that master tape. Although this is far more time consuming and critical, this procedure allows every conceivable trace of high-fidelity information to be inscribed in the grooves of your ANADISQ 200.
Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs does not de-horn metal parts in the plating process of our lacquers. To do so would cause loss in transients in the musical signal. There may be occasional pops or ticks in initial playing of the discs because of this. But as the discs are played more, the playback stylus will polish the grooves and actually improve the sonics of your ANADISQ 200
We remain committed to quality, not quantity, strictly limiting the number of pressings printed for each release. These Limited Editions, in addition to being collector's items, assure you that quality of the last pressing matches the quality of the first.
