TRANSLUCENT PURPLE VINYL

IRS RECORDS - SP7004

This is a VERY RARE first pressing LP from 1984.  The first pressing of this record was done on what I understand to be called 'quiex' vinyl.  When held up to a light source, it shines a beautiful purple color, and is unlike any other copy I have seen of REM's brilliant second album!!!  I have never seen one on Ebay before, and urge REM fans and collectors to consider this.  This may be your only chance to own this very rare piece of REM history.

The vinyl plays beautifully, without any skips.  The jacket and inner sleeve are in excellent condition, with only very slight wear to the opening of the jacket.  No bent corners or anything like that.  It is very clean, and quite suitable for framing or display.
