Description

Offered for sale is a 2 x 12" vinyl gatefold LP of Around the Sun by R.E.M. From what I can tell, the catalogue number is 78422.

This is really hard to come by on vinyl, as it didn’t sell all that well anyway and so not many copies of this were pressed. It comes complete with its original 2 x inner sleeves.

It’s in pretty good condition. The outer sleeve has a crease in the top-right corner (see pictures) but otherwise has no splits or scratches. Both of the inner sleeves are slightly creased but are in a generally very good condition with no splits/tears.

All four sides of the vinyl are great. Side 4, track 3 (The Ascent of Man) looks a bit scuffed (see pictures) but it plays fine. All the rest of the vinyl is shiny and almost as new. The labels are also clean, with minor spindle marks.

 Overall this is a nice copy of this rare double LP.
