Description
Health issues dictate that I begin to part with some of my favourite items. Up for consideration is R.E.M.'s first single, "Radio Free Europe" b/w "Sitting Still" released by Hib-Tone Records in 1981. Please note: this is the pressing WITH the Hib-Tone address on the label. My own research tells me there were 600 records issued without the address and 6000 with the address.
I bought this in Athens in1981 at a store on Jackson Street, and have NEVER played it. An inner voice told me to take no chances with this one. So it remains as it came from the factory. That said, it does have a flaw--when the center hole was punched out it caused some minor flaking around the inner side of the label. The picture sleeve is NM--you can see some ring wear, but probably not on the scan. Final analysis--unplayed near mint.
This is a one-of-a-kind item so I don't allow returns (yeah, I've had people try to return things by substituting an inferior item). I hope that my feedback speaks for itself. What you get is exactly as described. Thanks for looking. Bid early and often.
